The founder's personal brand, your most underrated asset
Take your last three clients and ask them why they chose you. There’s a good chance the answer contains your first name. Not your logo, not your brochure: you. That’s the whole logic of personal branding, and most founders leave it fast asleep.
Why it works so well
An algorithm shows a face more willingly than a logo, that part is mechanical. But the real reason runs deeper: at equal offers, we buy from someone we feel we know. A founder who talks about their craft, their choices, their mistakes, gives total strangers the feeling of a relationship that started before the first meeting. Sales people call it trust, marketers call it audience. We call it a head start your competitors will spend years trying to close, because it can’t be bought, only built.
The three fears that block you
“I have nothing interesting to say.” Wrong in a hundred percent of the cases we’ve met. Your daily life as an expert is a discovery for everyone else, and what feels obvious to you is exactly what your market wants to understand.
“I’ll come across as a show-off.” Bad personal branding, yes. The kind that works shares, explains and tells stories, it doesn’t celebrate itself.
“I don’t have the time.” One hour a week is enough to start, as long as you have a system: defined formats, a realistic rhythm, a clear line. That’s the scaffolding we build with the founders we work with.
Start small, but start
Pick one channel, just one, the place where your clients already live. Tell one real story a week: a project, a decision, a lesson. Hold on for three months before you judge. And if you want a tailored plan and an outside eye, we do this regularly, pairing social media with brand strategy. Your face is worth gold. About time it went to work.
