Our signature tool

The stylescape

A stylescape is a large visual board that locks in a brand's entire universe: colors, typography, textures, photographic style and tone. It gets built after the moodboard and before any graphic production. It's the through-line that guarantees the coherence of everything that follows.

Why we never draw the logo first

A logo out of nowhere is a roof laid before the foundations. The stylescape forces the essential decisions first: who the brand is, how it speaks, what it radiates. Once that universe is approved together, the logo, the guidelines and every touchpoint flow naturally from it, and everything echoes everything else.

We've used it on every rebrand since our first day, our own brand included: everything you're looking at on this site came out of one board, made long before the first line of code.

The method

  1. Immersion: your story, your values, your market.
  2. Moodboard: several possible universes get explored.
  3. Stylescape: the definitive board gets composed and approved together.
  4. Declension: logo, guidelines, website, touchpoints. Everything flows from the board.

Proof by example

Our own stylescape

Raspberry, mint, ink. Futura for the headlines. High-contrast black and white photography, neon accents, chosen words: modern, refreshing, involved, innovative. Everything on this site came out of this board.

Frequently asked

What's the difference between a moodboard and a stylescape?

A moodboard gathers loose inspiration, it's a starting point. A stylescape is a finished, hierarchized composition: final colors, real typography, treated photos, editorial tone, all staged the way the brand will actually live. The moodboard explores, the stylescape decides.

What goes into a stylescape?

A large horizontal board gathering logo, color palette, typography, textures, iconography, photographic style and the brand's personality keywords. One look, and you see the whole universe.

Why don't more agencies use it?

The method asks for more upfront work than pitching three logo options, so many agencies skip it. We refuse to produce a logo before the whole universe is approved: it kills the endless revision loops and the incoherent identities.

How much does a stylescape cost?

It's part of our branding engagements rather than a gadget sold on its own. The best move is to talk: every project has its own scope and budget.
